Trust in Yellow Mini Bus Appeal
As previously reported, Trust in Yellow has pledged its’ assistance in ensuring that Southport Football Club has a reserve team next season. At the end of the last season, the board of directors took the decision to pull out of the Lancashire League due to the travelling costs.
In order to make reserve team football sustainable, the club needs to significantly reduce running costs. Working closely with Southport Football Club, the trust committee has pledged its’ assistance in raising the finance to purchase a 17-seater mini bus.
The Trust envisages the importance of reserve team football as a stepping stone for developing home grown talent, a point which has also been reinforced by both Chief Executive Haydn Preece and Manager Peter Davenport. The PASE scheme needs a place for local lads to take their talent to the bridge which forges their youth development and open age football and subsequently, the opportunity to become professional footballers.
As an open and inclusive organisation we will endeavour to keep you informed of our progress. Trust in Yellow will be announcing a diary of fundraising events over the coming months, with the emphasis of targeting a large cross section of supporters. We hope supporters can come onboard and allow TIY to fulfil its’ aspirations – lets all hope we can have some fun along the way.
