COACHES TO WREXHAM AND HEREFORD

The Trust in Yellow coach to the match at Wrexham tomorrow has been cancelled due to insufficient bookings.

The Trust hopes to be running a coach to Hereford United on Saturday, however another seven bookings are needed by Thursday night to ensure it goes.

The coach leaves the Merseyrail Community Stadium, Haig Avenue, at 9.30am, with the fare of £23 members, £28 non-members, if paid in advance.

Under 16s can travel for a third of the advertised price if accompanied by an adult.

Prices are based on a break-even basis and a discount will apply if there are more than 30 bookings.

To book, call Alan Scarisbrick on 07980911693.

JANUARY PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Voting in January’s Player of the Month award is now open to members of Trust in Yellow.

The online voting form can be completed HERE.

Every month throughout the season, members are asked to nominate their star performer from the Southport team, with everyone who votes for the winning player going into a draw to make the presentation.

So far this month, Simon Grand has scored four goals - an important brace in the matches against both AFC Telford United and Lincoln City - as well as registering some steady performances in defence.

Shaun Whalley, the winner of November’s award, has been in excellent form, finding the target against Mansfield Town and setting up three goals in the victory over Lincoln - a match that also saw Andy Owens score a fantastic long-range effort, and his impact in leading the forward line has been crucial.

Or has another player caught your eye in January?

Voting is open until Sunday 3 February. The member chosen to hand over the award will be contacted ahead of the match against Barrow on Tuesday 12 February, when the presentation will be made.

You can submit your vote in any of the following ways:

- Complete the voting form by CLICKING HERE

- E-mail playerofthemonth@trustinyellow.com

- Text POTM followed by the player’s name and your name to 07790041514

LEDSHAM NAMED DECEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Midfielder Karl Ledsham has been voted Southport's Player of the Month for December by supporters.

Scoring in both FA Trophy matches against Stockport County, as well as forcing a decisive own goal in the league game at Edgeley Park, Ledsham was the clear winner in the poll organised by Trust in Yellow.

He was presented with his award ahead of Tuesday night’s match against Lincoln City by Trust member Ben Highton.

25-year-old Ledsham has netted six goals in all this season, including a memorable winner against Gateshead in September.

He joins Chris Lever and Shaun Whalley in winning the Trust award this campaign.

Trust members will have their next chance to vote in January’s award at the end of the month.
