Churchtown Summer Bash - Sunday June 26

Churchtown Cricket Club will hold a Summer Bash at the Rookery, Roe Lane, on Sunday June 26.

The main part of the event will be a cricket match between Churchtown and a Trust in Yellow XI in memory of Phil Carder, the long-serving Churchtown chairman and Trust treasurer, who passed away last year.

Play will start at 2pm and the match will be 20 overs a side. It is designed to be a fun day, with the bar at the Rookery open and there will also be food, drink, entertainment and family fun.

If you are interested in playing for the Trust team, e-mail Martin Robinson at dmjrobinson@btinternet.com.

Funds will be raised for Queenscourt Hospice in Phil’s memory. If you would like to donate any items to the raffle, again please contact Martin.

Managerial change

On behalf of its members, the board of Trust In Yellow would like to pass on its thanks to Dino Maamria for his efforts as manager of Southport FC. Even in his brief spell in charge he gave us some memorable moments.

We would also like to pass on our best wishes to Craig Madden, Andy Bishop and Gary Jones in their caretaker capacity.

The Trust looks forward to hearing any further news on the club’s future direction.

Should any members or supporters wish to contact the Trust In Yellow board with an enquiry or to suggest a project, they can contact a board member, e-mail fans@trustinyellow.com or drop into the Trust office before and after any home match.
