Coach travel 2018/19

During the close season, the Trust has met with Natalie Atkinson to discuss arrangements for supporters coach travel to away matches this season.

We are very pleased that we have agreed an arrangement which we feel will benefit all supporters in giving an improved service whilst retaining the usual benefits for Trust members.

Most important of all we hope it will enable more supporters to get to away matches to give the team the maximum support in what we all hope will be an exciting and successful season.

To enable the best deal to be done with companies, bookings of the coaches will now be done by the club. Natalie will be getting quotes from companies who can provide the team coach plus one or when necessary, more supporters coaches.

Our aim is to provide coaches for all the away league, FA Trophy and FA Cup matches. There may be a rare occasion when a match is rearranged at very short notice when it proves impossible to provide a coach but in general we intend to guarantee a service so that supporters can plan their travel with us well in advance and don’t have to make alternative arrangements.

Booking places

To make things easier it will now be possible to book and pay for places by using the club's online booking service. However, we realise that some supporters will prefer to book and pay directly in more traditional ways so the Trust office will still be open on Match days to take bookings.

You will still be able to contact the Trust Board members for information.

Prices

We are confident it will be possible for the club to negotiate competitive quotes from companies.

When prices for supporters are being calculated there will be two discounts. Trust members will continue to receive their discount which for longer journeys has been £5. Season ticket holders who are not Trust members will receive a 10% discount. It won't be possible to claim both discounts for the same booking.

We also intend to retain an extra reduction for under 16s for most trips and also have special offers for certain matches. Naturally the rules and legal requirements about having no alcohol on the coaches will be maintained and the club and Trust will not accept bookings from anyone whose behaviour on the coach or at matches harms the reputation of the Club or Trust. The Trust looks forward to working with the club on away travel and are confident this will be successful and show how club and Trust can both benefit by working together and in particular produce a better service and experience for supporters.
