Reserve Team Statement

At the Southport Football Club AGM on May 17th 2007 the club indicated that there was to be no reserve team next season. Trust in Yellow, following detailed discussions with the club had been raising money and had achieved its' target of £7000 for the acquisition of a mini bus, which would reduce the obstacle of travel costs which had been previously cited as the reason why the club were unable to field a reserve team last season.

The Trust is close to announcing a date for a meeting with representatives of the football club. It is here the trust will seek clarity on the full details of this issue and as a democratic, supporter orientated organisation, provide a full statement detailing the minutes of the meeting. Subsequently the trust will request that supporters provide their views on how they wish the trust to proceed.
